Flower Cupcake Tower

Made this cupcake tower for my daughters birthday party. The cupcakes were covered in green buttercream and the flowers were made a week before the party. I bought fence paling cupcake wrappers to finish them. The top cake was covered in fondant and flowers.

Wine Bottle Cake

My father in- law turned 70 and he loves his wine. I made a vanilla cake slab and cut into it to create a long rectangle for the wine bottle. I then covered it in buttercream. The bottle is also made out of cake and I covered it with black fondant. The label is made from gum paste  and I let it rest on top of a real wine bottle to get its shape. Once hard I decorated it with edible ink pens.  Once I placed the wine bottle cake onto the slab I arranged Flakes around it and sprinkled  grated white chocolate so it looked like sawdust. The grapevine is made out of fondant. Finished decorating with jaffas and rainbow sour strap. Hope he likes it.

Frangipani Birthday Cake

I made this for my daughters 12th birthday . Its a 3 tiered cake with two layers vanilla cake and one layer chocolate cake. I covered it in white fondant with frangipanis, leaves, star fish and shells. Not sure about the star fish and shells but she wanted them and likes them. I tried to make them match the coloured ribbon.

Maltesers Cake

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. My kids saw a similar cake on a website and thought their dad would like it.  It’s a chocolate flavoured cake with chocolate buttercream filling and icing.  Cake is covered with Maltesers and chocolate fingers stuck onto the side. My daughter helped me decorate it. We all enjoyed eating it!

Gaming Console Birthday Cake

My son loves old gaming consoles so when he decided he would like a NES cake for his birthday party, I asked, what is a NES? After a lot of research this is what I made and according to him it’s spot on. Phew. By the way it stands for Nintendo Entertainment System. Its made from vanilla flavoured cake cut to the required shape and covered with fondant icing. The hand controllers are made from gum paste. The games cartridge is made from fondant.
